A short biography of Michael Rossoff, L.Ac.
Michael Rossoff has been involved in macrobiotic and natural healing for more than 55 years. After studying with Michio Kushi in the 1960s and ’70s, he directed macrobiotic centers in the Washington, D.C. area for 20 years and has taught and counseled throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Israel.
Michael has practiced acupuncture since 1978, beginning his studies with J.R. Worsley at the College of Chinese Acupuncture in England and later completing advanced studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Maryland Institute of TCM. He has also served as an academic dean and teacher of Chinese medicine for three years at Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine. Michael has also taught shiatsu for many years.
Drawing on his extensive experience in macrobiotics, Chinese medicine, and Western health sciences, Michael brings an integrated approach to healing. His work also recognizes the deeper influence of mind, emotions and spirit on health and well-being.
He continues counseling and teaching (often via Zoom) and acupuncture from his home in Asheville, N.C. USA.
